Just read what SDG said on Jimmy Akin’s blog. If “America’s Mayor” wins the nomination, I’ll probably be voting 3rd-party.

Yeah…I’m really not sure how I feel about any of this, but I’d better decide soon. I want to try to be active in the primaries so I can justify staying home if it does turn out to be Giuliani v. Clinton/Obama…
Would it surprise you to find out that, if it weren’t for the “culture war” issues, I’d be a hardcore Democrat?
As it stands, I’m a registered Democrat who begrudgingly votes Republican (unless there’s a Democrat endorsed by Right to Life, as was the case with my county commissioner in ‘06). I applaud the efforts of groups like Democrats for Life, but tragically, they and the candidates they support have made a miniscule impact on the consciousness of the party.
Interestingly, Michigan has a small handful of pro-life elected Democrats, including Reps. Kildee and Stupak, as well as former Rep. Barcia. Several of the Democrats who helped the party take control of congress are at least moderately pro-life in comparison to the rest of the party, including Brad Ellsworth and Joe Donnelly of Indiana, and Heath Shuler of North Carolina. If only they had more influence in the party, this would be a much, much different country.
