In the words of one Iowa voter quoted in the article linked above, “We have some differences, but he’s electable.” Ugh – electability, national security props – all of that is supposed to make me forget that he’s an amoral slimeball who claims to be Catholic while promoting behaviors that are decisively against our most holy faith? God help us all.

I’m terribly frustrated in how the conservative talking-heads establishment have so casually thrown Sen. Brownback under the bus, merely because he voted against some troop-surge legislation.

If current poll results hold and Giuliani ends up as the GOP nominee, social conservatives could be screwed in a big way.
